Woven Fate

Of the three stained squares [link] the soy was ultimately my favorite, and while the others didn't turn out that well, I do like this one, albeit the texture of the rune strips is flattened so the overlapping effect isn't as obvious.

The center of the piece is based on a stonework in Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia in Barcelona [link] , which I was reading up on for an upcoming mixed media piece about a church. I liked the idea of making Alpha and Omega as opposite-looking shapes. A few rough sketches later, and I settled on this arrangement. The Omega's a tad obscure, and looking at it now, I just had a better idea for what to do with Alpha, but it gets the point across.
