IV. GaGa
I am not a fan of Lady Gaga... at all. There might have been a point when I said I liked "Paparazzi" but that passed after about a second listen. In the grand scheme of things, she's what Vladimir Nabokov would call an Ambitious Nonentity. As someone who grew up a Michael Jackson fan, I've got nothing against artists having an outlandish stage presence or an eccentric aesthetic sensibility, but GaGa is no Gabriel.
Anyway, after much coaxing from my roommate, I finally watched her Simpsons appearance, with the assurances that she gets "put in her place." On that note, it turned out to be a bit of a dud, not half as pointed as it could have been, but if there was something good to come from it, it was the tracksuit she wore in the final scenes, which made up the Perler tile. Most sensible outfit, and it's the only one I would ever base something on.

V. ScaleZone Act I
This was based on the keypad of a digital scale at work, but when I'd finished piecing it together, I realized it looked like the title cards before every level in Sonic 2. I haven't bothered to check it against the original, but only because those early Genesis entries are practically engraved into my memory. So, I made the title a nod to the game.
Twitpic: ... yeah, this one didn't come through for some reason.

VI. Haz-Mat
This was also based on something I came across at work, these rubber mats people had at their workstations. Fairly new addition, though they look like they've seen better days. The gray "diamond" parts of the tile are actually black on the original, but they've turned gray from scuff marks by shoes. The edges were also fringed, but that didn't really look right for this. Lastly, the stripes were at an angle, but that's really hard to pull off when you've only got a 14x14 grid to work with, and nothing ended up looking right.
