Description

Enceladus is on the shortlist of celestial bodies in our system which may be able to support life. In fact, it's arguably the most likely of them all because while Europa and Mars have ice while Titan has a nitrogen-rich atmosphere, Enceladus not only has water, but its core is hot enough to actually cause geysers. Hardly paradise, but water is all it takes for some organisms to survive. In fact, if the series Life After People is to be believed, any organic sample sent aboard a probe could conceivably prosper, turning the moon into a giant petri dish.
Anyway, this was just a fun bit of faffing about with NASA images and my silhouettes. I'd used photographs as backgrounds before (like in Soulstar), but I wanted something a bit more grandiose. looked a lot better in my head than in execution. I fiddled with it, making Enceladus smaller, re-orienting the position of the tower, but nothing really quite worked without the little white, tiger-striped moon as prominent as possible. I still like it, mostly, I just don't think I'll be featuring it on my front page (which is why it has a 900x900 resolution).
