Dungeon Tiles 13 thru 18

Description

I've never played a tabletop RPG in my life, unless you count HeroQuest which, frankly, I don't. The nuts and bolts, as well as the culture to a lesser degree, however, I do find quietly fascinating. I've also been told by a few role-players that they think I'd make a good GM.

Anyway, I got to thinking about gaming thanks to a truly terrible anime series my roommate tried to get me into. I won't say the name of it, except that it's based on a series of something called Visual Combat Novels. Those words leapt off the screen. I thought, "The Hell is a visual combat novel?" It turns out they're a little like those Choose Your Own Adventure books of yesteryear, but far more elaborate. While researching this facet of adventure gaming previously unknown to me, I ended up browsing all manner of accessories and people's snapshots of their campaigns, which led me to dungeon tiles.

Dungeon Tiles, for the uninitiated, are essentially a modular series of squares representing an environment in which the players carry out their campaign. This set was made by cutting squares out of one of my pocket-sized (3.5" x 5.5") watercolor books (making these probably the most expensive 30 dungeon tiles ever made... perhaps I'll get a small, decorative wooden box and sell them as some kind of "premium set" for gamers.).
It had been a while since I'd worked with pencil or tried for realism, so this really served as an exercise in fundamentals for me (I also wanted to start drawing creatures again, hence the two with "fungus" on them). I didn't have much of a plan or theme in mind beyond a few tiles having obstacles, puzzles, and other common RPG staples. I had a few ideas sketched out that didn't make it into the set, but given that I only had 30 tiles to work with, and four of them being devoted to two pairs of "teleport tiles," space was at a premium.
