Description
Originally, I wanted this to look like cracked stone or ice, but the lines ended up too wavy and curly, so I ended up finishing it as is, with this generic, nondescript-looking branches.
As long as we've all got roses on the mind, here's where I geek out a little about Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I was about ten when that movie came out, and I loved it. Here's how much I love it: The next year (around 1992) my family and I went on our second trip to DisneyWorld. This was also the same trip where I came down with appendicitis and missed Universal Studios. Anyway, prior to that, while walking around the Magic Kingdom, there were street vendors selling little nick-nacks. The big seller were these fiber-optic "brush wands" like those desk ornaments that were popular for a while, but on flashlight handles. The other big thing we kept seeing was fake roses with lights in the buds. I got one.
When we got home, I dug out this tall, clear dome that was from a miniature model skeleton kit my brother got me. I put the rose inside of it, and it stayed on top of my desk for years afterward.
I had the enchantress' rose in a case on my desk.
