A Couple of Squares

Wasn't even sure if I wanted to post this. Today's been a bit on the "blech" side; I think I spread myself too thin these last few days, tried to take on too many things at once. Case in point: When I made these, all I had in mind was that if I made half-inch borders on either side of the cards, the center would be a 2.5x2.5" square. Sounded like a neat idea, but unfortunately, all I had sorted out was the borders. If anything, I figured the whole piece could be a kind of "non check" version of Sorry, Were You Saying Something? :+: [link] but with a bit more structure. Sadly, this was the best I could do, and it's not even all I made tonight. I have another piece I'm submitting to a contest, but I'm a bit conflicted about it. It's not that I think it's bad, but rather in poor taste.
